Will the Texans Takedown the Ravens to Keep Playoff Chase Alive?

Big showdown at M&T Bank Stadium tonight on Monday night football, as the Baltimore Ravens will be hosting the Houston Texans. The Texans will once again have to rely on their backup quarterback Tom Savage to get them a victory, as Deshaun Watson went out early in the season a season-ending knee injury.

DeAndre Hopkins and Chris Thompson will need to both step up and make some big plays against the Ravens number two secondary if, in fact, they hope to leave M&T with hopes for a playoff run. I don’t see much yardage coming from the ground game because the Ravens defensive line has done fantastic this season hold teams to 120 yards-per-game. That number should be lower in this game as I don’t see much of a run game in Houston. So Houston will need to use the air game while being careful not to turn the ball over to the Ravens secondary.

Also, the Texans will need to get their lackluster defense fired up to make some plays as they are facing Joe Flacco on his home field and although Flacco hasn’t looked all that great this season. Home is where he steps up and plays some of his best football.

Having running backs like former Patriot Danny Woodhead and Javorius Allen will make breaking down again a lackluster defense all the easier.

If Flacco can get his passing game going he has some good targets to go too. One being yet another former Patriot Benjamin Watson or as we called him in his college days at Georgia “Big Ben Watson” this guy is an excellent tight end with good hands and his big stature he’s just what I’d want to see open in a flat.

Mike Wallace will have to step up and make some big plays to help his team stay in the hunt for the playoff. He did get targeted 4 times for 56 yards in their week 11 game against Green Bay and managed to get in the End Zone on one of the receptions for a touchdown.

So all together I believe with this information I’d say the Ravens win this one mostly because they’re at home but also I don’t think the Texans have what it take on defense to stop them. Final score 24-21 with the Ravens pulling off a field goal in the final seconds of the game.
