New names are being associated with Ladbrokes, a prolific online gaming and betting company, as jockey Frankie Dettori has agreed to join their ranks as the company’s brand ambassador. Not only is Dettori going to be part of Ladbrokes’ advertising campaigns, they have also offered him the tremendous opportunity of being part of their media platform, as well. His commentary and racing opinions will be heard throughout the racing year, but only through Ladbrokes.

For those of you unfamiliar with the widely-known name Frankie Dettori, he is arguably the most well recognized jockey in the horse racing sport today. He has been given the distinct honor of being named champion jockey on three separate occasions. Dettori’s superior racing skills have also landed him atop the winning horse in over 500 group competitions. So it comes as no great surprise that Ladbrokes was thrilled to have him as an addition. Frankie Dettori’s insight and expertise in the sport, along with his clout in the sport, are likely to create a very lucrative environment for Ladbrokes.

The deal Frankie Dettori signed with Ladbrokes was exclusive and is effective immediately. He says that he is looking forward to working with the betting company and promoting the sport of racing as much as possible. Members of the Ladbrokes team have also conveyed their enthusiasm about Dettori coming aboard. The marketing director for the UK division of Ladbrokes, Dan Staple said, “Frankie has been the biggest name in the sport for two decades. He is pure box office and we’re delighted that he’s joining Ladbrokes as our ambassador. His sporting passion for everything from Ascot to Arsenal is infectious and makes him stand out as the ultimate fit for our brand.”

So, is this a match made in promotional heaven? Only time will tell, but if Dettori is half as good at working on the corporate side as he is riding horses and winning races, the odds are definitely in his favor. One thing is for certain, we are going to be seeing a lot more of Frankie Dettori in the world of sports betting.
